Rouve Referrer Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 30 September 2026 — Version 1.3

1. Programme and Acceptance

These Rouve Referrer Terms govern participation in the Rouve Referrer Programme. They supplement Rouve's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By activating or continuing to use a Referrer Profile after the effective date, you agree to these terms.

The programme lets an eligible person share a unique Rouve referral link, QR code or code and earn commission on qualifying completed bookings. It does not change the referrer's underlying Rouve customer account or make the referrer an employee, agent, partner or representative of Rouve.

2. Eligibility and One-Profile Rule

  • You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate enrolment, contact, identity and payout information.
  • One natural person may hold only one Referrer Profile unless Rouve gives prior written approval.
  • An authenticated account and its email address may be linked to only one Referrer Profile. Registering again with another email, mobile number or account to obtain an additional profile is prohibited.
  • Rouve may use account ID, normalised email, mobile number and verified payout identity to prevent duplicate or abusive profiles.
  • If a profile already exists, Rouve may return or reactivate that profile instead of issuing another code. Duplicate profiles, codes and balances may be suspended, consolidated or closed after review.

3. No Purchase, Fee or Guaranteed Income

No purchase, investment or participation fee is required to become a Rouve Referrer. Commission is not promised or guaranteed and depends only on qualifying bookings made independently by referred customers and completed under these terms. A referrer's own purchase does not qualify.

4. Referral Attribution

  • A customer may be attributed through a referral URL, QR code or a valid code entered during checkout.
  • Referral attribution captured from a URL or QR code is preserved through the booking flow. Manual code entry is available when there is no valid automatic attribution.
  • Each booking can have only one referrer and one referral source. Referral attribution does not transfer ownership of the booking from the customer to the referrer.
  • A code must be valid and active when it is applied. Attribution cannot ordinarily be added, replaced or transferred after payment.
  • Rouve's records are authoritative for attribution, booking status, eligible value, tier and commission calculations, subject to correction of a proven error.

5. Customer Referral Discount

A referred new customer receives 20% total off their first eligible booking. This includes and improves on the standard 15% first-booking offer; the offers do not stack. A referred returning customer receives 10% off an eligible booking.

Promo codes, first-booking discounts, stored referral rewards and Rouve Referrer discounts do not stack. The best eligible offer is applied. A referral code identifies the referrer and may also provide the customer discount; it is separate from a promotional code.

6. Qualifying Bookings and Eligible Value

A referral becomes commission-earning only after Rouve marks the paid service as successfully completed. Pending, unpaid, failed, cancelled, refunded, chargeback, test, fraudulent, duplicated or self-referred bookings do not qualify.

Commission is calculated on the final eligible amount actually paid for the booking after customer discounts and excluding any refunded, reversed, non-commissionable or test amount. If a qualifying booking is later refunded, reversed or found ineligible, the related commission may be reversed or deducted from a future or unpaid balance.

7. Commission Cycles and Tiers

Each referral cycle runs from the 25th of a month through the 24th of the following month. Completed referral counts reset at the start of a new cycle; lifetime totals do not reset.

  • STARTER — completed referrals 1 to 4 in the current cycle: 10%.
  • BUILDER — completed referrals 5 to 9 in the current cycle: 12.5%.
  • AMBASSADOR — completed referrals 10 to 19 in the current cycle: 15%.
  • ELITE — completed referrals 20 or more in the current cycle: 20%.

Tiers are progressive, not retroactive. The rate for a booking is determined when that booking is completed, using the referrer's completed count at that time. Earlier commission is not recalculated when a higher tier is reached.

8. Payouts and Tax

  • Pending commission is not payable until the booking qualifies and Rouve records the commission as earned.
  • Rouve processes verified commission payments on the fifth working day of each month. A working day is Monday to Friday, excluding official South African public holidays.
  • If the scheduled processing day is affected by a banking interruption, payment-system outage or another event outside Rouve's reasonable control, processing will take place on the next reasonably available working day.
  • The date funds appear in the referrer's bank account may be later than the processing date and depends on the receiving bank. Payouts remain subject to accurate banking details and identity, fraud and account verification.
  • Rouve may withhold or offset disputed, reversed, duplicated, fraudulent or incorrectly calculated commission while it investigates.
  • The referrer is responsible for declaring and paying any tax applicable to commission received. Rouve may request information or make deductions where required by law.

9. Prohibited Conduct

  • Self-referrals, circular referrals, fabricated customers or bookings, duplicate accounts and attempts to earn from the same booking more than once.
  • Misleading claims about Rouve, prices, discounts, income, availability or the referrer's relationship with Rouve.
  • Paid search advertising on Rouve brand terms, impersonating Rouve, creating confusing domains or accounts, or using Rouve intellectual property without permission.
  • Spam, unlawful direct marketing, buying contact lists or sending electronic marketing without the recipient's required consent or a lawful basis.
  • Offering an unauthorised rebate, cash-back arrangement or benefit from the referrer's commission.

Referrers must identify themselves accurately, make clear that they may earn commission, respect opt-out requests and comply with applicable advertising, consumer-protection, privacy and electronic-communications laws.

10. Monitoring, Suspension and Termination

Rouve may review referral activity and temporarily hold commission while investigating suspected error, fraud, duplicate identity, abuse or a breach. Rouve may suspend or terminate a Referrer Profile, invalidate attribution and reverse unpaid or improperly earned commission where reasonably justified. Rouve will not remove a lawfully earned and verified amount without a valid reason.

11. Personal Information

Rouve processes Referrer Profile, contact, identity, attribution, booking-performance, device, fraud-prevention, banking and payout information to administer and protect the programme. A referred customer is not given the referrer's private contact, banking or earnings information, and a referrer is not given the customer's private booking or payment information beyond aggregated programme reporting. Further details appear in Rouve's Privacy Policy.

12. Programme Changes

Rouve may change programme eligibility, discounts, tiers, rates, cycles or procedures prospectively. Material changes will be published or communicated before they apply where reasonably practicable. Changes do not retrospectively reduce commission already earned and verified, except to correct error, fraud, refund, reversal or legal non-compliance.

13. General

The programme is governed by South African law. If these terms conflict with the general Terms of Service on a programme-specific issue, these Referrer Terms apply to that issue. Questions or disputes should be sent to legal@rouve.co.za with the relevant account and booking details.
